A technology company is expanding its presence to Oklahoma City, and plans to bring 300 flexible, part-time jobs to the market.

SYNQ3 Restaurant Solutions works with restaurants to provide an aggregated call-ahead ordering system for consumers. More than 20 restaurants use SYNQ3, including Chipotle Mexican Grill, Red Robin, P.F. Chang's and McAlister's Deli. The company is based in Colorado Springs, but is expanding to Oklahoma City.

“The restaurant industry is really undergoing a significant transformation, and we are kind of out in front of that,” SYNQ3 CEO Steve Bigari said. “As a consequence of that, we're having a hard time keeping up, so we are looking for cities with great people with wonderful hospitality, and Oklahoma City was our top choice.”

With the expansion comes a number of flexible jobs. The company was built around a desire to provide employees an opportunity to work from anywhere and provide supplemental income.

“More and more people want to work on a flex schedule and from home,” Bigari said. “Now, 70 percent of my agents in Colorado work from home. They outperform people in centers dramatically.”

SYNQ3 agents are provided laptops and training on how to receive orders for various companies and input these food order into a computer system at the consumer's local restaurant. This aggregated network allows restaurant employees to focus on in-store customers, Bigari said, without having to answer phone calls for orders.

“This is where it is transformational,” Bigari said. “The kitchen can focus on production, the host and hostesses can focus on the guests in front of them and the servers can focus on the tables they have.”

Greater Oklahoma City Chamber spokesman David McCollum said the company brings a positive innovative set of jobs to the city.
