HAVE YOU USED GOOGLE MAPS TO ADD VALUE?
or do you use it just to find your way around? The Answer is Yes ~ BOTH are correct answers!
If you work with Rural Properties and get a lot of questions...like, The Same Questions .. repetitively
We all know information is at the tips of our fingers,but how many actually dive in and find the needle in the haystack ?
The footwork to get information can sometimes be tedious, regarding Location Scouting, Amenities in the area etc. but great Tools like GOOGLE MAPS created more efficiency and accuracy.

BEFORE THE INTERNET BECAME SO WIDELY RESOURCEFUL

Before the information highway became so readily accessible to find good information on areas would require driving around or more specifically driving to the property
If a Customer is searching for properties and wants to know the proximity of the Highways or Parks, Schools etc.. What is your most efficient and effective way to communicate that information?!
GOOGLE MAPS is a great tool to use, I like the ability to use the Satellite View which you can use in 3D and move the map around for different Birdseye views,dependent on what attribution you are trying to capture .

It is located in the heart of an area between two small towns that is not built up yet remains close to highways, shopping, Medical Facilities etc. The beauty of this property is it is pretty much in a landlocked area where owners of the properties around it aren't going anywhere, any time soon so there won't be any Community Housing anytime in the near or far future. It is a farming community, so nothing around it is changing and they like it that way. This makes for a great lot to build a home on.
Yet, Route 66 is just a few blocks away and minutes from town, so you're not exactly off the grid, but you could be!
But how would people know all of this unless they did the research or drove out there..
Two things I've observed( based off of the questions I repeatedly answer) people are not fond of,Research and Critical Analysis,I love to do both so I thrive on fact finding ! People want quick answers and they want it now.
GOOGLE MAPS allows you to zoom in on the Satellite View in 2D which is flat, move around the location, up and down the street like where a car could drive to ...and then there is
3D, which allows you to see overhead from the backside and side to side view ( similar to if you were actually sitting in a drone viewing it yourself! )
I use screen capture to do my markings on the Map to point things out... the screenshot can then be used in your property listing or communication to another person.Thanks, GOOGLE!

I researched what Google allows in regards to use of the GOOGLE MAPS Application.
There are specific guidelines to follow in which Google lines out in this Terms of Use Article, as long as you follow them, GOOGLE MAPS allows you to use their Content. (they just ask you to include the attributes and don't try to claim association with them and some other fine print)
Use this accessible tool in your research and be a resource people need,and add Value to your Service.
